The intention of this document is to provide some insight into the configuration options available with CallCabinet’s advanced policies for Microsoft Teams.
Policy Types
CallCabinet offers a number of options with regard to how users, or groups of users, are targeted to be recorded and which policies apply to those users.
Users can be targeted for recording in one of two ways, namely:
- Being individually targeted within Microsoft Teams
- Being part of an Active Directory group which has been targeted
Once a user has been targeted, the policies that apply to that user are controlled within the CallCabinet Teams Support App (https://teamsapp.callcabinet.com:21091/TeamsSupport) and the following methods exist to evaluate which policies are applied:
- Physical Policy associated with a Microsoft Teams created policy
- Virtual Policy associated with a Microsoft Teams created policy
- Individually targeting the users
Once a call is presented to CallCabinet for recording, it is evaluated in the following order:
- Has the recorded user been assigned to a virtual policy in CallCabinet?
- Does the recorded user belong to an AD group that has been associated with a CallCabinet Virtual Policy?
- Does the recorded user belong to an AD group that has been assigned to a CallCabinet Policy?
